Ramada by Wyndham Mesa Downtown

Our first stay here went well. The room was spacious, nicely designed, clean, and already cool when we arrived. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and we'll definitely come back. I would've given five stars, except my card key was spoiled and dirty, and no one told us about the $100 cash deposit before check-in. Luckily we had the cash and didn't need the ATM right beside the front desk.

The property was clean overall, with a nice pool and hot tub, and the remodeled rooms were really nice. I actually like the $100 deposit because it helps keep drug addicts out and covers any damage. Breakfast changes each day and is genuinely good. The staff were super friendly, Rocky the manager was very helpful, and Sargon at the front desk helped me out and was really nice. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

For a few days, the price is good if you want to keep costs down, especially if you're using the room for business like I was and won't spend much time there on vacation. The location is good, too. The bedroom is modern, a nice size, and clean, with an updated look and a good-sized TV. But the floors, shower, and faucets haven't been updated, the outdoor areas need maintenance, and breakfast quality could be better.

Absolutely awful. We were there for a funeral and lost valuable time getting ready for the viewing. Check-in wasn't until 3, so we waited at a local park until 4. Then check-in took 45 minutes. The clerk had called to confirm the rooms were clean and was told they were, but ours wasn't. It took another half hour to move us into a clean room. The next day, no maids came to clean or even replace the towels. At checkout, they tried to raise our rate, and nobody offered compensation. We were a large group with six rooms, and one person was charged for two extra rooms we hadn't used because the hotel had lost a reservation. The pool wasn't heated, and the hot tub was only warm, not hot. We'll never stay here again, and I recommend that you don't either.
