Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Mesa East

The gum stuck to the floor beside one bed and the clogged shower drain, which left water pooled in the shower, could have been cleaned up. The room and bathroom needed more attention. Still, it's one of the nicer Marriott Hotels I've stayed at, with a huge property, great architecture, and well-planned room layouts. I didn't get the usual recognition for my status or a question about how I'd like to use my level benefits, and I rarely saw anyone at the front desk. Even so, I'd stay here again.

Gary at the front lobby kept asking my children, "What else do you have?" It felt like he was accusing them of trying to steal. I was with them at the vending area, where they picked out one drink to share, and we went straight to the register. I explained that we were holding Cane’s Chicken from down the street. Gary told us to swipe, insert, or do whatever we do. The total was $5, and I tapped my card. When I asked for a receipt, he refused and said he "doesn't do that" and couldn't give one. I'd like someone in management to contact me. Absolutely ridiculous!

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and I had a really nice stay. Check-in was quick and easy thanks to the front desk lady, who was polite and professional. I'd happily stay here again. Thank you, Marriott.

That bed was so good I couldn't get out of it! The room was cozy too, and I loved being able to cook for my husband and son in there. The room was clean, thanks to housekeeping. 10/10 for the bed. Till next time, and keep it fluffy!
