Hilton Garden Inn Lake Forest Mettawa

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly, including the bar staff, though the drinks were poor. The freeway noise, though, was unbearable. It was loud all day and all night, louder than airport hotels where I’ve stayed with rooms facing the runway. We still have one more night, but I may eat the cost and find somewhere else. I don’t know how anyone gets a good night’s sleep here.

Kelly Jernigan and her team did an outstanding job at our work event at the Hilton Garden. The conference room was comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed the delicious lunches each day. Thanks, Kelly, for a great experience!

We stay here often and plan to keep coming back. The staff and bartender are friendly and attentive, the rooms are very clean, and my daughter enjoys the clean indoor pool. Breakfast was the one awkward part this time: she had a small bowl of cereal from the continental spread, while I planned to have yogurt and a few other things. When I paid, her cereal had been charged separately as an $8 “kids meal” on top of the continental breakfast. HGI breakfast hostess, was that really necessary? We may have to think twice about ordering a bowl of cereal next time.

Our room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The highway-facing rooms are extremely loud, though. We didn’t sleep well at all, and from other reviews it sounds like this keeps happening.
