The pool was a big part of what made this stop enjoyable. It had recently been redone, was clean and not too deep, and there were towels, loungers, chairs, and a shaded cabana. We could bring our own non-glass drinks, and with so few guests around, we had the place to ourselves for ages. The river runs right beside it, which made for a lovely view. We stayed one night in September during a three-week road trip. The motel is older in style, but our room was clean and spacious. We chose a top-floor room facing the back with river views, the priciest option, though the cost still seemed reasonable for the location. It was quiet, and check-in was easy. There was plenty of simple parking. I didn't see an elevator, so the upper floor may be tough for anyone with mobility issues. Nearby food choices are limited. We drove up to Bluff to eat at a place I’d already looked up. Having food on site would be a real plus. I’d stay here again.

The pool was a great way for both kids and adults to unwind after a long drive. We also ate at the place the staff recommended. The menu was limited and the $20 steak burger with beans and salad felt a bit overpriced, but it was filling, comforting food, and our server was accommodating. We hadn't booked ahead, yet the friendly staff made us feel welcome. Our room with two double beds was very clean, and the linens were comfortable. A solid stay with good service and a nice atmosphere.

The room itself was clean and pleasant after a recent renovation, but the air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a plane taking off, and it didn't cool properly. Nearby restaurants were expensive and honestly not very good. We also waited a long time at reception because nobody was there. The staff member had stepped away, so we had to call to get someone to come back. Outside, the building looked badly worn, with broken windows and an aging front. The back pool area seemed to be the only part that had gotten attention, and the plastic palm trees looked odd. I don't see how this place merits four stars. The stay was disappointing.

The room was comfortable and looked nicer inside than I expected for such a rustic property. The location is beautiful and remote, and after a long travel day the clean, well-kept pool, open 24 hours, was a highlight. I did have a safety concern: the balcony boards outside our room were rotten, with nails sticking out. That needs attention. We also weren't given any information about local trips or things to do, which would have helped us explore. We enjoyed staying here, and some repairs plus visitor guidance would make the experience much better.

The river view was absolutely lovely, and this works well as a stop on the way to Monument Valley or when you're just passing through. Bring your own breakfast. There's not much in town in the way of amenities, though the hotel staff did what they could to help. Our room was clean, if a little dated, and still comfortable enough. The beds were extremely firm. Even the two seniors sharing the room didn't mind, so maybe it's just me.
