Crest Hotel Suites

This was hands down the worst place I’ve stayed, even with how much I travel for work. The hotel and rooms are dated, but there were plenty of other problems: stained pillows and sheets, no mattress pad under the sheet, a painfully loud antique air conditioning unit, thin noisy floors, and a run-down, dirty pool. Hair was all over the bathroom floor and toilet, and it definitely wasn’t mine. Signs promised valet, but there was none. I could go on, but I won’t. Getting into the room or anywhere else was a struggle without a charged phone and a very good WiFi connection because all the keys are digital. I made multiple trips to the lobby, which is in the building next door, after nobody answered the phone. They basically said it wasn’t their fault and that there were no keys or key cards. This hotel is beyond disgusting. Stay away.

The hotel itself is less than desirable, but you’ll mostly just be sleeping there. The location is one of the best places to stay in South Miami: CVS is across the street, Lincoln Road shopping starts nearby, and the beach is a very short walk away. Between Collins and Washington, there are more shops and restaurants than you could visit in a week.

For what we paid, it wasn’t good value. The rooms are really dated, and the pool didn’t look inviting. It’s annoying that you can get a physical key but have to use a digital one. The place is well located, but very basic, like a motel. I also had major back pain from the mattress.

We were left without a room on New Year’s Eve after the hotel denied our fully paid reservation at check-in, claiming there was “no booking,” even when we showed proof of payment. They offered no support, apology, or effort to help. We’re still waiting for the refund. This was a terrible experience, and the hotel is unreliable and deeply unprofessional.
