Fabulous 3 Bedroom Residence at the W on South Beach

The beach and city views from our clean, roomy upgraded room were great, and the beach and pool were gorgeous. There were lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance, and I liked the fitness center too. I was here for a work trip, and the food at our group events was really good. We did have a check-in problem, but they sorted it out by moving us to an upgraded room. I hope I can come back someday.

The food was one of the bright spots. Room service, breakfast, and the pool menu were all very good. But the pool area was packed all the time, with far too few loungers for a hotel this size. At one point I was alone with my three young children, including a six-month-old, and had to stand for four hours while keeping an eye on my three-year-old in the water. That’s quite unacceptable for such a prestigious hotel. Housekeeping was another big problem. I’d call for cleaning as we left the room, and most of the time nobody came. When they did, they left dirty room service trays on the balcony for three days, while birds pecked at the leftovers. The hotel is a little removed from the livelier central areas. The beachfront walk is beautiful, but feels long with young kids. It’s also almost too close to justify an expensive cab, leaving you in an awkward in-between. My husband and I were quite disappointed. It wasn’t up to the standard.

The pool is a big part of why I keep coming back to W South Beach. There are daily activities and fun extras like frozen treats, smoothies, and giveaways, which make lounging there even better. I also love starting the morning by going through the pool gate for a walk along the South Beach promenade. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are so attentive and really make each stay feel special, and the location puts great restaurants and fun activities within easy reach. I highly recommend W South Beach for a memorable stay. It never disappoints! 🌴☀️

The pool was a great place to unwind during my quick trip to meet friends. Everyone on the hotel staff was courteous and accommodating. Angel, the bartender at the pool bar, was funny and friendly. I’m planning to stay again.
