The room had serious cleanliness problems: toilet paper with pubic hair in the toilet, hair on the towels, and what looked like blood or nail polish on the bathtub. The phone’s service buttons didn’t work. Our key cards failed repeatedly, first needing reprogramming at check-in and then again the next day, before checkout. Outside, the view was rooftop mechanical equipment that made noise day and night. Maintenance was poor too, with peeling paint, a peeling office chair, and a treadmill belt seam coming apart in the fitness room, which seemed like a major safety hazard. Check-in was just as disappointing. The employee didn’t greet me, only said “ID.” I’d booked a standard room with one bed but was going to be given one with two small beds. I’m a Platinum Elite member, but nobody acknowledged my status or offered a welcome gift. The rude service, dirty room, and maintenance issues fell far below what I expect from a Holiday Inn. Management needs to address them.

The hotel sits toward the quieter north end, but it’s an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. The beach is great, and the pool is decent, with a daytime Tiki bar. There’s also free yoga at the pool every day. Good for families or couples. Haydee at the front desk was exceptional.

Getting to the beach was great, but the room could use some improvements. We needed a microwave, and the windows should be cleaned so you can actually see the beach from the room. I also wasn’t expecting valet-only parking, and the rushed check-in when we first arrived caught us off guard.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the location worked perfectly for us. Zygoo, Haydee, and Sulimar made the stay especially easy. They helped with our rooms, explained things clearly, and were patient, kind, and professional throughout. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, and we felt well looked after. I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to others.
