Hotel Victor

The staff were really nice, and it was cool to stay in a historic hotel. It's a lovely old Art Deco property, handy for walking along Ocean Drive. Our room was tiny but clean, modern, and had a nice bed. The windows were so dirty that we couldn't see Ocean Drive or the ocean. We had no balcony, so that was our only window, which was disappointing. Management, please clean them. I'd stay again, but would choose a balcony room next time.

We got the king suite for my girl's birthday, then heard the rooftop penthouse was available for an extra charge. After a short negotiation, we agreed on a reasonable price and took it. The whole roof was ours, the hot tub was amazing, and the view was LEGIT the best in South Beach. I felt like a millionaire. The bed was very comfortable and everyone was friendly. The bathroom isn't very private, as others have mentioned, but it was okay. For the huge price tag, a small kitchenette or at least a microwave would be useful. The views and service were great, and I'd definitely come back. Ocean Drive was closed to car traffic, so we had to walk our luggage about a block. That's not the hotel's fault, and once we were out exploring, it was actually nice having the block closed.

The morning playlist was outstanding, refined and tasteful, and it made for a lovely start to the day. Bravo to the team for that. Breakfast was excellent too. We ate there every morning and were always satisfied, so I highly recommend adding it. The hotel is in the middle of the Art Deco district and main tourist area, a good fit if you want the South Beach vibe. They have free bikes you can use for about an hour to an hour and a half, which is great for exploring. By the pool, fresh fruit and cold water were available all day, and the pool itself is pleasant. They also provide beach chairs, which is a nice extra, though carrying them over isn't always convenient. It'd be a big advantage if they had a private beach area with loungers and chairs like some nearby hotels. Service was very good, and it was a great stay, definitely worth it.

My daughter and I only had a short trip, but we had so much fun in the Penthouse. The ocean-side views were phenomenal, and we used the jacuzzi during the day. The hotel provided bikes we could use each day, and the staff were very hands-on. Great team!
