SoBe 12th and Ocean Suites

The location was very good, and getting into the rooms was no problem even though our plane was delayed. The rooms were clean and the materials were functional. We had no issues with the reservation. The walls are a little thin, though that seems normal in the US. Great value for money.

Nothing about this place felt Lux, and I've never had a worse price to quality ratio for a hotel stay. The microwave was broken, and maintenance left early without fixing it or addressing it for guests. There were only two hangers in my room. Even after I asked, I wasn't given more, so I had to order hangers for myself and two friends on Amazon with prime delivery for our six-day stay across two rooms. That basically cost me $27. The bathroom had no hooks or towel bars, so there was nowhere to put towels. At 3am the shower curtain rod came crashing down. The TV kept turning itself back on after I switched it off, and off while I was watching. There's no closet, just a shaky, lopsided clothes rack, like the leaning tower of Pisa. The windows don't open either. There's no front desk here. The front desk at an affiliated property a block away often couldn't help, either because they didn't know or because maintenance wasn't around. They also weren't service-oriented. Worst value for the money I've ever spent on accommodation.

If I could give less than 0, I would. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, despite staying in plenty of hotels over the years. The apartment was literally falling apart: the floor was broken, the bathtub was damaged, and the drain was clogged. The so-called view faced a wall, even though the pictures on booking show the beach. This place is a SCAM, and the staff were rude. I want my money back! They also had problems between shifts. The overnight staff member said I could check in early and store my luggage, but when I arrived the morning shift said they couldn't do either and blamed the overnight worker. The same thing happened when I asked for a late checkout. We even left a note, but ran into the same problem again.

The outside was quiet, but inside our room was a nightmare. My husband and I work hard and deserved a nice weekend. I like to party, but I also really value quiet when it's time to sleep. We rented for three nights and I couldn't sleep because the aircon was so noisy. Don't accept room 308. We complained many times, to receptionists and whoever we could find, but nothing happened. We travel all over the world, and this is the first time we've had such a nightmare. People were trying to do their jobs, but the people staying there deserve better. We spent our time complaining with no result. The rules, environment, and regulations at this place need to change. I can't recommend it unless things improve, and I won't stop commenting and complaining. I hope this helps people who are deciding whether to stay. Good luck.
