Villa Venezia BB

We're coming back after staying here in 2024, and I'm honestly shocked by the complaints about the manager or the place. I wanted to share what actually happened for us. Miami Beach is a unique place, though many, and I mean MANY, hotel workers are impolite. Before our departure, we had a terrible time trying to find a place for one night, so I booked Villa Venezia BB without expecting much. Three hours before check-in, he messaged to say the room was ready if we needed it. This is a house or villa, as the pictures show if you look before booking, not a hotel. Want a hotel? Pay for one. About the free parking, maybe the people complaining don't know that in Miami you need a license to park on the street, or you'll pay a hotel room fee to leave the car there, around U$$50,00 a night. The property seems to have 3 or 4 spots. If they're all full, you can park on the street, and the manager gives you their license for free during your stay. Breakfast was at 8:30. Once we got to the table, we understood why he had asked what time we'd like it. Everything was fresh and recently made: bacon, eggs, juice, waffles, and fruit. That's why we're returning. The host, food, and views were excellent.

Sandra looked after us so well. Even though we arrived very late at night, she greeted us and gave us food recommendations. It's very close to the restaurants and beach. Highly recommend 🌴

Lovely garden oasis feel and free parking, and the breakfast was actually delicious. The rooms are cozy-tiny, though, and the walls are whisper-thin. Wi-Fi drops sometimes, and the bathroom could use a glow-up. Great for beach days and relaxed mornings, but not for luxury sleep goals 😴📵

I booked this through Airbnb recently, and it was AWFUL. The place looked dingy, grimy, and outdated, and there was no AC in the common area. The so-called breakfast was toast, frozen waffles, limp bacon, packaged Oreos and ho hos, plus a little fruit. Then a glass shower door that hadn't been installed properly fell off while one of the girls was showering. We were incredibly lucky nobody got hurt, but the owners showed no concern for our safety. The owner immediately demanded payment and accused us of breaking it, when the real liability was the improper installation. He was aggressive about getting us to pay and handled it incredibly unprofessionally. Instead of going through Airbnb to mediate, he kept texting and calling throughout our stay. The whole place is a mess. I would NEVER recommend it, even for one night. If you stay and something goes wrong, good luck.
