The Palms Inn & Suites

Chris at the front desk was amazing and really felt like the face of the hotel. He was attentive and professional, and I think the hotel should reward him for his service. The location is great, too. The room was fine, though the bathroom could use some touch-ups and the decor could be refreshed. The TV also needs an upgrade to something better quality. Even so, everything else was good, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

After my cosmetic surgery, I needed lighter meals, so the breakfast worked out okay for me. The hotel was small enough to make things comfortable and easy while I recovered, and it was accommodating when many Miami hotels would refuse service to people having liposuction. The staff were friendly, the service was great, and the hotel itself was great.

We went back to the front desk after no more than ten minutes because the rooms were dark and in bad shape. Several lights didn’t work, there was a heavy musty smell, and the A/C clanged loudly. We asked for a refund, left, and found another hotel. We’d paid $1,202.47 for two king rooms for three nights, but we didn’t stay a single night. At arrival, a man was hanging around the lobby and followed us toward our rooms, which made us uncomfortable right away. I was told to call back and speak to a manager. Four months on, the “manager” is somehow never available, and I still haven’t received my money back. The whole experience felt dishonest and completely unprofessional. Losing over $1,200 for a stay we never used is unacceptable. There are much better hotels nearby, so save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I was here for a funeral, and thankfully it was only one night. The place was disgustingly maintained, like staying in a slumlord’s apartment. The mini fridge wouldn’t close, the bathtub and fixtures looked like they were from the 90s, and it seemed like the painter had worked in the dark.
