Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Brickell-Port of Miami

The room was large and comfortable, with a very spacious bathroom, and it was in a quiet part of the property. The price was good, and we chose it for the location, two queen beds, and pull-out couch that fit four of us. But it smelled strongly of cat urine. There was a no-pets sign in the lobby, and the odor was unmistakable. I wondered if an employee had once lived in the room with a cat and not kept the litter clean, but I can't say for sure. We arrived the night before a cruise. It was late, and my friends wanted to sleep rather than ask to change rooms, hoping we'd get used to the smell. We left as soon as we could the next morning and went to breakfast, which wasn't good either. The coffee had grounds in it and the eggs were gross. I can't say for certain that I'll never stay at a Comfort Inn again, but it won't be among my first few choices. I know I won't stay at this location again.

The lobby was chaotic when we got there early in the morning, and we had to wait until 3 pm to check in. This was after a four-night stay at a high price, and the included breakfast ran only until 9:30, which we felt was too early. Some of the front desk and breakfast staff weren't friendly. Alba was particularly rude while putting food away as we were trying to get a little breakfast before we could reach it. This morning there was nowhere to sit in the dining area, so I had to sit in the lobby. The location was good, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I know. There are plenty of other places where we'd be better accommodated.

Daniella and Nata at the front desk made our Miami stay so lovely. They were efficient at both check-in and checkout, and really accommodating when water backed up in my bathtub. They moved me to another room. Thank you both!

The river view was lovely, and you could walk along it. We even got a great photo of a rainbow! The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good location and friendly staff. Breakfast was just mediocre and a bit inefficient, and the $20-per-person shuttle to the port wasn't worth it since an Uber was cheaper. Still, it worked well for our needs as a convenient place to stay before the cruise.
