Extended Stay America Premier Suites Miami Coral Gables

At check-in around 6 p.m. on 2/16/26, I found that the refrigerator and freezer in room 614 were both completely out of order. I went to the front desk to report it and ask about an ice machine, but was told there wasn't one and I'd need to buy bags of ice. No complimentary ice or discount was offered, even though the room's fridge and freezer weren't usable. That was a real inconvenience when I needed somewhere to keep food and drinks, and the response left me feeling that guest comfort didn't matter. I expected better service.

For the $2,000 I paid, this stay wasn't worth it. The floor I was on constantly smelled of marijuana, and the hallway carpets were filthy with debris. Outside, the windows were covered in mold. My room was dusty, and under the beds looked as if it had never been swept or mopped. The AC didn't blow cold, and the Wi-Fi was terrible even after I paid for premium.

The location was lovely, near plenty of restaurants and the Cuban district, and my room was large and really nice. The staff were mostly kind and helpful, though one man was rude. I got to breakfast with 45 minutes still left, but most of the food was already gone, so I just had coffee. There was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor.

Maria, the supervisor, gave excellent service, which was the best part of my stay. The room was quite big, and Walgreens and a mini mall were within walking distance. I recommend it!
