The room was nice and clean, service was excellent, and the front desk was courteous. The cheerful lobby manager greeted us in the morning and even cleared our breakfast plates. I only wish there had been a room safe for valuables. We booked a shuttle to the terminal through the front desk for $8 US per person. A dozen people were waiting on departure day, but the third-party shuttle never showed up. Hotel staff said the shuttle company hadn't received the list. We ended up taking a taxi. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but perhaps they could work with another shuttle company. The taxi driver said that on busy days with lots of cruise ships, the trip can take over an hour because of traffic and other drop-offs. Something to consider.

A solid place to stop before a cruise if you mainly need somewhere to sleep and get to the pier quickly the next day. The room was warm and clean. There were no frills or special accommodations, and when we called the lobby around 10 p.m. after settling in, nobody answered.

The room was clean and roomy, and the bar service was great. I wish I’d caught the bartender’s name because he was awesome. Sherice at the desk really made our stay, though. Her badge said trainee, but she was the best person there: calm, attentive, and on top of everything, from check-in to sorting out what the kids needed in our room. If you’re heading out on a cruise, expect a wait and bring patience. Some of the adults in the lobby were behaving worse than my two-year-old. Thanks to Sherice and everyone who made it a good stay.

Brickell was a lively, safe-feeling area, with plenty of places to eat and things to do. Brickell station is less than a five-minute walk and connects to both the Metromover and MetroRail. The room was spacious and modern, and the hot water and AC worked the whole time. The shower was roomy enough for two, which was a treat. At breakfast the selection wasn’t huge, but there was good coffee, healthy and filling food, and waffles you could make yourself. The welcome was warm, and they held my luggage while I looked around before check-in. For the price, I thought the stay was well worth it.

Adrian made the hotel bar a highlight. He was welcoming and fun to talk with, and the cocktails he made were some of the best I’ve had. If you’re staying here, be sure to stop by the bar.
