Rodeway Inn

The bed was comfortable, but I didn't feel safe here and wouldn't stay again. While my wife checked in, I saw two separate drug deals, and parked cars made it hard to get into the driveway. Our room had soft spots in the floor, a hole in the bedroom wall, no batteries in the remote, and trash by the bed. Half the hot tub jets didn't work. The door chain was missing, and the door looked like it had been forced before. People outside were arguing well past 1 a.m. I wouldn't recommend it for families.

There were two roaches in my room. When I told management, they weren't much help and said they'd never had problems before. The owner was hostile and extremely rude to women. Kids aren't allowed to play outside, even though the owner's children live on site and ride bikes around the parking lot. The rooms smelled of smoke, and the laundry area was dirty with water on the floor. I had to beg for clean sheets and towels, and they never offered toilet paper, so I bought some at the gas station next door. The bathroom door had holes punched in it, and the shower curtain had huge stains that looked like poo. They refused to replace it. The rooms need proper upkeep, and the housekeeping is poor. Horrid place to stay. Go across the street to Red roof. Rodeway should be shut down by the health department.

The a/c worked pretty well, and I didn't see any bed bugs, though your mileage may vary. The room had plenty of problems: old or unwashed looking towels, a bathroom door that wouldn't latch, a wobbly toilet, and lamps with broken switches. The carpet was stained and torn near the door. WiFi was available, but I wouldn't connect without a VPN or antivirus software.

The manager seemed very nice, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. I don't think we'll come back. The room wasn't clean when we moved in, and within two days a couple of people who honestly looked like crack heads knocked on the door. We also found a bag of weed under the couch. One woman on staff seemed to have an attitude, and her boyfriend was hanging around talking. It took her ten minutes to acknowledge us.
