Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Michigan City, IN

Linda at the front desk gave good customer service, and prices were reasonable. She had to find me a TV because the owner wouldn't give me credit, but the replacement had a broken leg and had to lean on a box to stay upright. She handled that and even plunging sinks and moving furniture without help. In the room, the bedroom TV didn't work, the closet door was off its track, and the refrigerator hadn't been defrosted in months, so things wouldn't get cold. I found towels under the curtains even though the room was supposed to be clean. The water system barely flushed, the furniture was very outdated, and the hallway carpet was cleaner than the carpet in the rooms. Breakfast was terrible, so I'd stick to the juice and yogurt.

We had a great stay at Country Inn & Suites. The large room and very comfortable bed were great, and the in-suite Whirlpool was amazing. The pool and hot tub were clean, maintained, and at just the right temperature. Breakfast had lots of choices and was well stocked and attended to. Customer service was great too. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The whole building was clean and quiet, and my room was too. Room service came once a day. I liked the complimentary breakfast, and the hotel was near lots of stores, restaurants, and gas stations. It wasn't too expensive compared with the fancier nearby hotels, and the reviews were better than most around there. There's a nice little pool and spa. My only small complaints: I wish they'd left more towels, and the hot tub wasn't really hot. Still, it's a very nice place to stay.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable even though the rooms are old. My bathroom had all the usual amenities and decent shower pressure. Breakfast was nothing special, but pretty typical: powdered-tasting eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, and yogurt. Room options include a suite with a king and pull-out couch in separate areas, or a room with two queens.
