MainStay Suites Midland

I used to stay here at least twice a week for a year, but things have gone downhill badly and I don't stay anymore. The roach problem is awful and needs to be dealt with. Open a cabinet or drawer and roaches come crawling out from everywhere. I don't know what went wrong, but I hope they get things back to how they were. It's disgusting.

The location was good and the service decent, but I won't stay here again. Later in the evening, after dinner, I noticed a small roach on the mini kitchen counter and didn't think much of it. Then I got up in the middle of the night and found the room infested with roaches. I called downstairs to tell the clerk, but I was too exhausted to move rooms. At checkout, I told the morning clerk what happened. She said the exterminator had been there the day before and the bugs tend to come out the next day. I expected, if anything, a few dead ones, not an infestation.

My family and I felt very comfortable and we'll be back soon. The person at reception was so friendly and the service was excellent. I think her name was Claudia. Thanks!

The upkeep is really poor. Rooms are dated and don't get cleaned often, the laundry room doesn't work, and the bathroom lights are rusty. If you want a kitchen, it's great. Also, trucks get stolen from if materials are left unattended.
