Holiday Inn Express Salt Lake City South - Midvale by IHG

Ashley at the front desk is the reason for my five-star service rating. When I see her, the whole lobby feels warmer. She’s friendly, helpful, and welcoming without getting too familiar. My husband and I have stayed here several times over the years, and the staff are often surly. I don’t expect them to be extremely friendly, but in hospitality a little warmth, even a smile, nod, or eye contact, would be nice. Rick was at the desk last evening and smiled, which was nice. I remembered him from previous visits on the evening shift, when he was always quite friendly.

The room was nice and clean, and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast had a good range of options, and there was a machine for freshly ground coffee. What more could you ask for?

Ashley, the front desk specialist, makes my business stays feel brighter. She always greets me with a smile and a friendly hello when I come through the front doors. She goes the extra mile and never complains, huffs, or rolls her eyes. Breakfast is good, the facility is very clean, the room is great, and the location works well.

Everyone had fun in the pool and hot tub, and the tub was actually hot. Our room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space for the family. The staff were all awesome, and breakfast was hearty and really good. The pancake machine was down, but there were lots of other options. We had a great time at this Holiday Inn Express and would love to return to this location.
