The menu and the care behind it really come through, and every meal my family has had here was delicious. Since moving from the Philadelphia area last year, I’ve been looking for good IPAs and pub food, and Rusty Rail has easily outdone a lot of places I’ve tried. The beer is among my favorites, too. Their styles are right on target, especially the All Good Hazy IPA, with plenty of flavor and a body that doesn’t feel heavy. A real gem in little Mifflinburg. Don’t pass it by.

Autumn made the visit for us. She was warm and upbeat, noticed what we needed without hovering, and had good suggestions for both the food and craft beer. Everything came out just right, and it was clear she takes pride in looking after her guests. We had a wonderful time at Rusty Rail Brewing Co in Mifflinburg, PA, and we’ll ask for her next time we’re there.

Mandy was friendly and attentive, and the food and beer were fantastic as usual. I had the toasted corn chowder and chimichurri steak salad, and both were great. We stop in for dinner whenever we’re nearby, and the food quality feels like what you’d expect in a major city. We tell friends visiting the area to try Rusty Rail, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

The building is lovely and our server was very nice, but the meal was a letdown. The nachos tasted as if they’d been made with canned tomato paste. My swordfish seemed like it had been frozen and thawed at least twice before cooking, and my husband’s steak was so chewy he stopped after two bites. We spent over $100 on the food and drinks, so I expected better, especially after reading all the glowing reviews. We won’t be back.

Tika was delightful, attentive, and informative, and we had a lovely chat about local food and travel. The beer was great, and the food stood out too. The historic building is thoughtfully arranged, with spaces for hot and cold weather, plenty of parking, two bathrooms, historic decor, and elevator access. From what we could see, the whole place was accessible, with ramps, spacious restrooms, and doors that weren’t too heavy. There’s also a stage with plenty of power and a built-in sound board. We can’t wait to try more food and brews when we pass through again.
