Motel Boutique by Wolf Inn

The staff were really nice, and I had a great stay. Both rooms I used had working mini fridges and microwaves, which I appreciated after three months working on the road. They were quiet and comfortable, too, so I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in the area. Motel Boutique by Wolf Inn is a phenomenal deal for the price. It’s an older place and not necessarily pretty, and a bit of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt, but everything was clean and functional. I also loved the kitschy art displays around the property. They catch your eye and give the place a real sense of whimsy.

We got a good price and the location was handy, right down the road from Kalahari and lots of other attractions. The room was cute, the air conditioning worked great, and the staff were very nice. It was outdated and had a musty smell, though. For the price we weren’t expecting a 5-star hotel, but it could use upgrades and new carpeting.

I found dried blood on a napkin after cleaning it off the little dresser by the window, and took pictures of that and everything else. There were dead bugs in the bed too, which I photographed. This motel is unsanitary, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The managers are disrespectful and act like they don’t know the place is dirty or has bed bugs.

The outside looked nice, but inside it was a dump. The carpet was filthy and stained, and the room and bedding looked like they’d come from Goodwill. The pillows were a joke, and I had to buy spray to cover the smoke smell. The bed was okay, at least. We were scared off as soon as we arrived, when a man was yelling about bugs and spiders in his room. We had nowhere else to go, but I’ll never stay there again.
