Doubletree By Hilton Hotel Boston - Milford

We spent two nights on the fourth floor, and had trouble getting hot water all three days, Friday through Sunday. While getting ready for a wedding on Saturday, we waited about 20 minutes for the engineer to arrive and help. I saw another review from a few weeks earlier describing the same problem on that floor. This could be a wonderful place if they could guarantee hot water. For now, the Holiday Inn up the road may be a better choice.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and updated, but our showers barely had hot water on both days, Thursday and Friday. My family had three rooms on the fourth floor, and none of them had hot water. It felt like the hotel may have had so many guests that the supply ran out.

The bed was comfortable, the WiFi worked well, and the staff tried their best. Service was friendly and helpful, though the facilities let the stay down. My recently remodeled room already showed wear and felt unfinished. The AC filter was dirty and the unit was missing flashing. In the bathroom there were no large towels, the faucet was loud, and the showerhead seemed to be failing. My dad's room hadn't been renovated yet and was much worse. The layout was confusing too. We had to cross the pool room to get to the elevator for the third floor. The TV wouldn't let us cast from our own devices. Legends was an okay bar and grill.

We booked a wedding block here and had a wonderful experience. The staff, especially Randi, were kind and accommodating from check-in on. They rearranged rooms so most of our group could stay on the same floor, arranged early check-ins and late check-outs, and helped with wedding logistics. They also let us use a conference room for activities before and after the wedding. The rooms were clean, the facilities were nice, and the staff really impressed us. I'd definitely recommend it for a wedding block.
