We were desperate to leave after just one night. Check-in took more than 15 minutes because the system was outdated and involved signing and printing an actual paper form. We arrived around 3:45, but didn’t get to the room until after 4. It was disgusting. The glass shower doors, faucets, and shower head were dirty. Dust rings showed where things had been sitting, there was urine beside the toilet, and the floor was so filthy that walking barefoot felt like being outside. The noise upstairs was awful. People were running, jumping, and screaming, and they were still at it after we returned from dinner. Around 9:30, we tried to sleep. My husband called the front desk, but nothing changed. We had our sound machine turned up as loud as possible, and the noise was still louder. We eventually fell asleep, then a huge boom at 11:20 woke us both immediately. The racket continued, and we woke repeatedly through the night. At 7:30 we gave up trying to sleep. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 9:30, but my husband found very little to choose from, so we decided to shower and leave. The water was cold and never even got close to warm. At checkout, I waited over 15 minutes again for someone to come to the desk, despite the sign saying to say hello and they’d be right with you. I told the woman we had cleanliness complaints. She didn’t seem interested in seeing the pictures and asked me to email them, which I did. I eventually showed her the photos, but she said only a manager could help and one wasn’t there. I emailed them to the hotel for manager Kimberly, but I don’t know whether she’ll call. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. There are plenty of places nearby, and I’d choose anywhere else. The photos speak for themselves.
I needed a room for one night at the last minute, booked online, and had an easy check-in. The room was clean, and the shower had hot water with good pressure. I met a woman salting the sidewalk on my way out and asked if she worked at the front desk. She turned out to be the location’s GM and got me extra soap and toothpaste. I didn’t catch her name, but she was pleasant and seems to be doing a great job. I joked that I’d give her five stars, and here I am keeping my word. 👍
My wife and I stayed here and ran into several serious problems. The room hadn’t been cleaned: the beds were unmade, and garbage was on the floor, as shown in the photos. The more serious issue involved my pregnant wife, who has a disability and needs a service animal. When I reported the dirty room, the general manager was put on speakerphone and aggressively said dogs weren’t allowed. I calmly explained that the dog was a service animal under the ADA. The general manager, Kimberly Duffy, repeatedly pressed me for specific details about my wife’s medical condition. I felt intimidated and pressured into discussing private information that businesses aren’t allowed to demand under federal law. The front desk staff backed the manager, which suggests a wider lack of ADA training and compliance. This didn’t feel like a misunderstanding. It felt like hostile, unlawful treatment of a disabled guest, with my wife’s civil rights disregarded. I’m sharing this publicly because ADA violations involve federal civil rights, hotels are legally required to train their staff on these laws, and other disabled guests deserve to know. I strongly recommend that people who rely on ADA protections avoid this hotel until management can show it complies with federal law.
It’s sad to see a place like this so poorly cared for. The room was dirty, there was some kind of strawberry juice on the counters, and the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. There were no towels, so we had to find somewhere else at the last minute. I can’t speak for other locations, but I don’t recommend the one in Milford De.
It’s new, clean, and has a good breakfast. My ADA room was huge, though the door was so heavy and hard to open that someone without average strength might need a linebacker to get in or out. It felt sturdy and secure. The roll-in shower had a surprisingly slippery floor, so I was glad there were grab bars. Good price, and I’d definitely stay again.
