The Towers Bed & Breakfast

We spent two October nights in the Towers Suite, and it was bright and comfortable. Sunlight through the colored glass in the windows was lovely, and the spacious bathroom had a gorgeous clawfoot tub. Breakfast was cooked to order and fantastic. The large dining room meant we weren't crowded together or expected to share a table. Outside, the privacy-fenced garden has room to wander and furniture where you can sit with a glass of wine. The innkeeper lives on site and was friendly and helpful, and the inn is lovingly cared for from the moment you walk in. It's a beautiful BnB, a hidden gem. Don't be put off by the location: parts of Milton, DE are run down, but other areas are coming up and seem to be working on rejuvenation. Highly recommend the Towers Bed and Breakfast.

Breakfast alone made this a different experience from a chain hotel: Dan, the owner, cooked for us each morning, and the Eggs Benedict could have come from a highly rated restaurant. The French Toast was tasty and plentiful, and Hannah kept the coffee fresh and hot. She also greeted us warmly, explained the amenities, and was attentive throughout. The garden was lovely for reading among the flowers and plants, or just spending time with Theo. Dan knows a remarkable amount about Milford and the surrounding area, and his commitment to improving the community shows in how he presents The Towers Inn. My wife and I had a perfect midweek getaway in May. The inn was exceptionally clean and quiet, with historical character, superb hospitality, and restaurants and activities nearby. The large beaches are a short drive away, and the local nature beaches are even closer. We highly recommend The Towers Bed & Breakfast and hope to return.

Dan and Rhonda made us feel very welcome. The small number of rooms gives The Towers an intimate feel, and the rooms and garden are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, too. It's a magnificent bed and breakfast in a lovely historic building.

Hannah was kind, helpful, and pleasant to deal with while we were there. Dan, the owner, made breakfast for guests on both mornings, and it was fantastic. There was so much food that my wife and I couldn't finish it, though the French toast was especially good. The shared spaces are comfortable places to relax, with decor that fits the house's 1800s look. Our room was spacious and had its own bathroom, but we stayed in The Garden Room and the bathroom wasn't directly connected to the room. That wasn't a big deal for us, though if you want an attached bathroom, choose another room, as it seemed the others had them. For a good B&B, you get a good bedroom and breakfast. We'd like to stay again if we get the chance.
