Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston Milford

The room had an old 70s-retreat sort of charm, with two flat-screen TVs, a mini fridge, and a microwave, but it was hard to sleep there. A huge cross from the next room caught the light and was always in view, while the shades left both sides of the windows exposed. I could see girls smoking pot in a car outside, the cross, or a badly patched and painted wall. I was glad to get home. Earlier in the stay, I found a receipt for a sex-shop choke collar dated 2018, along with expired personal lubricant and a very worn business card from a hotel director, tucked under a drawer. This was January 2026. The drawer made a scraping, crinkly noise even though it was empty. It was late, my 13-year-old and I had to be up in seven hours, and I was trying to get the items to the front desk while my teenager asked what I'd found. Gross. The booking was a mess too. I was given Hardik, the GM's, phone number and email for a group rate. I called, then realized it was his personal line and I'd interrupted him while he was picking up his kids. I apologized and emailed instead. He asked for my details and said we'd connect about payment the next day. I gave my card information then, and he later called to confirm it. At check-in, they said someone else had already taken the room. I noticed the confirmation email was for someone else's reservation, explained what had happened, and they found me a room. Checking my card statement, I saw two identical group-rate charges. At the desk I explained the double charge and showed both reservation numbers. They confirmed the same card was used but offered no fix. I'd never met the other guest, so I had to track her down through a group chat for our kids' sports team and get her to come to the lobby and pay for her room. The hold was $650 instead of $270, so for my whole stay I couldn't use that card to go do anything. Four days later the double-charge hold came off, which was good, but the charge itself cleared for one cent. Why? I think they may have been trying to do a good job, but the inconveniences piled up. I was double charged and had to sort it out myself, and the room made me wonder how thoroughly it had been cleaned in eight years. I'm sure there was more, but by then I'd had enough.
