Red Roof Inn Milford - New Haven

I ended up staying longer than usual because of unfortunate circumstances, and the Red Roof staff treated me like family the whole time. They were always kind and courteous, the room was consistently clean, and someone was available whenever I needed anything. If you want a clean place that feels like a home away from home, this is it.

The staff were great, and my room was really quiet. Rooms are large and come with a fridge and microwave. The decor is old and dated, but I find it quaint. Plenty of parking too.

The smell of mildew was awful, and everything felt damp and reeked of cigarettes. The door looked as if it had been kicked in more than once. The shower leaked onto the floor the next morning, probably causing the odor. The room looked nothing like the booking photo. One of the most disgusting hotel stays I’ve had to endure. This place probably needs to be condemned.

Just off Route 95 in Milford, the hotel is in a convenient spot. The rooms were simple and clean, and everything worked, but they need basic updating. The sink drained poorly, and the bathroom night light switch plate had long since stopped lighting up. Even though it was a “No Smoking” room, there was a distinct stale cigarette smell.
