Blessings Lodge

The big recliner was the best part of our unit, and I used it often. The rooms in Hope were clean and well maintained, apart from the floor: when I wiped up a water spill, the paper towel showed how dirty it was. The deck also wasn’t usable. A company had come to measure it, but until the work is finished I wouldn’t feel safe letting children up there. The furniture needs repair or replacement because it was splintering. If you plan to cook, bring your own pans. The nonstick ones are scratched. The other kitchen items were nice, with no chipped cups or plates. Bring extra silverware if more than four people are staying. I didn’t use the hot tub, so I can’t comment on it.

Our first stay at Blessings Lodge was in the upstairs Hope room, and we were able to bring our dog. The rustic outside felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. Inside was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, and the pillows were just right. I even took a photo of the pillow tag to find the same ones. We visit the area every year and hope there’ll be room for us again next year.

Everything was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bed and furniture were comfortable too, and you can park right by the door. I’d definitely stay again.

Homestead felt like where we were meant to spend that night. The Psalm 23 plaque above the fireplace set the mood, and we loved that the TV wasn’t the focus of the room. The fireplace was wonderful, the view was beautiful, parking was easy, and everything was clean with nice amenities. We didn’t use the spacious two-person jacuzzi. We made a last-minute trip and couldn’t find a cabin until I found Blessings online. Instead of accepting the “no availability” message, I called. Mark, you were so kind to let us use Homestead for one night and refer us to Berlin Grande and Connie. Homestead has three bedrooms and plenty of room for a few more people, with a daybed in the living room. There are two private rooms and a bathroom downstairs. The photos I saw were only of upstairs. We loved the cabin and location so much that we’re planning to visit at least once a year. We’ll book Homestead early next time and hope to bring some of our adult kids along.
