Mill Tree Inn

I checked in May 9, 2025 for what was meant to be a four-night stay. Room 218 hadn't been cleaned and the bed wasn't made, so I went back to the desk and got Room 118. It looked nice and seemed clean, but at 4 a.m. I woke up to cockroaches all over the room. I asked to check out early and get a refund so I could change hotels. Jodi, the clerk, refused to reimburse me for May 10 and refunded only the 11th and 12th, even though I didn't use that day. I know it's a budget hotel and you get what you pay for, but this was unacceptable for someone who keeps things very clean. If bugs don't bother you, maybe this is your cheap motel. I'd take my money elsewhere. Reputation matters, and this is a very poor one. I'll also be contacting the BBB.

The room had a long list of problems: peeling ceiling paint, a crack by the bathtub, mold on the ceiling, a dirty bed, and dirty towels even though I'd asked for extra. I requested a nonsmoking room but got a smoking one. When I plugged in my CPAP, the outlet sparked and the whole wall lost power. The front desk worker said she wouldn't refund me. Don't waste your time or money here. Faulty electrical seems not to matter to them, and you might not make it out alive.

We were there for three nights and couldn't get extra towels. They said there was only one housekeeper and to ask later, then eventually told us it was too late. They also wouldn't give us batteries for the remote. We overslept by 30 minutes by accident, and even though we bagged our trash and left it outside for pickup, we had to haul it to the dumpster ourselves each time. There was no breakfast at all. When we asked about the kitchenettes, they said people had complained about bugs coming up through the drain. Bad experience, poor customer service, and not kid friendly. I don't recommend it.

The property smells like mold and seems poorly maintained and outdated. My first room hadn't been cleaned; in the next one, there were dead roaches on the floor and the shower leaked. I also overheard another woman mention a leak in her room. They didn't refund me either.
