Hilton Garden Inn San Jose/Milpitas

I stayed here before COVID and it was a good property then. The rooms have since been refreshed and are still okay, but customer service is now nonexistent. I complained at checkout and was told to email because the manager wasn’t there. I sent a post-stay message over two weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. It looks like management may already know about the problems and isn’t addressing them. Since Hilton changed the elite benefits, the breakfast here is poor in both quality and quantity for what they charge. Don’t pay their steep price for it. I understand inflation in California is out of control, but serving food like this feels like daylight robbery.

I’ve stayed here twice, and the staff were friendly, but I don’t think I’ll come back. The breakfast was poor, with hard melon in the fruit salad four days straight. There was traffic noise, the shower leaked, and the constant blue siren lights in the parking lot gave the place a strange vibe. It’s okay, nothing more.

The location and room were okay, but housekeeping never cleaned my room. It’s the worst Hilton I’ve stayed at so far. Thanks to Aldrin for cleaning up the coffee I spilled on the table and bringing me two bottles of mineral water.

I’ve been here for 12 weeks for work, and it’s started to feel like my second home. I usually stay at Hampton Inns, but the rooms here are good, though some are nicer than others. A few showers leak across the bathroom, but it’s not too bad. The front desk and restaurant service are excellent, and the dinner specials are always good. Breakfast isn’t included unless you book a room with it. The website made that clear, though some people have complained.
