Best Western Milton Inn

Breakfast was a real plus, especially since I found food that worked with the lifestyle changes I’ve been making. The place was clean and comfortable, and everyone was pleasant to deal with. I’d stay again and recommend it.

I’m updating this because they did exactly what other reviews warned about: they claimed towels were damaged and took money. I’d already paid before reading those reviews, so I filmed the room and everything I left behind. They charged $23.57 for a towel and washcloth they said were damaged, on top of the $100 deposit. Unauthorized charges. I’m trying to upload the videos, but it won’t let me. Don’t stay here, go to Red Roof or somewhere else. Honest review from a biker and trucker. The room itself was clean and nice, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. It was a fun touch to see my name on the TV when I turned it on. There’s nowhere nearby that delivers, so you’ll need Uber Eats or DoorDash. We didn’t use the outdoor pool, but it looked clean. There’s also a gym and an office area. Breakfast was just okay, with fewer choices than at other hotels I’ve stayed in. I liked that they provide doggie bags for when your dog takes a shit. The daytime older woman at the desk was pretty rude, though I think that’s just her manner. She seemed to realize it during the conversation and tried to be accommodating. There was a bathroom holder for a hair dryer, but no dryer.

The hotel is only two stories, so keep that in mind if you’re used to high rises. We were on the first floor, and it was mostly quiet, though we could hear doors opening and closing. We came into town for a wedding, and the location was close to the venue. The room was clean, service was good, and breakfast was nice, though more fresh fruit would’ve been good.

I felt filthy in that room. It smelled, there were little specks of blood on the pillow, stains on the walls, rusty tub knobs, and a ring around the bathtub. The toilet handle was broken, and the rooms are outdated. It felt like the owner hadn’t put any money into updating the place. I skipped breakfast. There was a small fridge and microwave, which were fine. The hair dryer was so loud and smelled like it might catch fire, so I went to bed with wet hair. They have one washer and one dryer. Parking was okay and the lot was clean, but I wouldn’t come back.
