Bill and Debbie made us feel so welcome, and their advice about getting around and what to see was invaluable. The breakfast was delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the restored historic home is beautiful. We’d definitely stay again. Lovely hosts and a lovely place.

We chose The Govenor's for a birthday trip to Dogfish Head, and the easy, pleasant walk to the brewery made it perfect. Downtown Milton is even closer, with some great dinner choices. The owners were very kind and helpful with suggestions. Breakfast was home cooked, with hot and cold dishes and great coffee; our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the mini fridge worked well for our Dogfish souvenirs. The house is a charming bit of history, and Milton is a very nice town. It’s a convenient, quality place to stay for Dogfish or this part of DE, with the beach not too far away. I plan to return with my family, and we’ll stay at The Govenor's if it isn’t booked.

Bill and Debbie were friendly, helpful, and so accommodating. Their beautiful B&B had clean rooms and the best breakfast around. Milton is a cute town, too. We happened upon a free outdoor concert in the park and enjoyed that as well.

Rooms fill up quickly here, so it’s best to book ahead. The Governor’s Bed and Breakfast is a small downtown place in Milton, within walking distance of many attractions. It has a different feel from the national chain hotels Delaware is mostly known for. Past guests have praised the clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast, and the owners can be a great source of tips if you’re new to the area and deciding what to see and do.

We’ve stayed here twice and plan to keep coming back. The house is beautiful, the hosts are delightful, and the hospitality couldn’t have been better. Bill was so nice, and his breakfasts were delicious. The rooms are lovely and the beds super comfy. I especially love the room with the fireplace. Thank you both so much!
