Clarion Pointe Milwaukee Airport

The staff deserve 10 stars, they were so nice. It’s a very nice hotel, and breakfast was super basic: waffles, white bread, oatmeal packets, yogurt, orange and lime juice, apples, oranges, and coffee. Housekeeping needs to improve. The floor in my room was sticky and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, and neither the table nor the center counter had been wiped. If they don’t address it soon, the housekeeping will bring the place down.

I stayed the night after a family funeral and wanted somewhere near the airport. The hotel was quiet and lovely. It’s up-to-date, clean, and comfortable, with an elevated feel at a budget price. The shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are environmentally friendly and come in wall-mounted dispensers instead of tiny bottles. They even offered me a yogurt though I was leaving before breakfast. Thank you.

The place has recently had a major remodel, so everything is new and clean. What really surprised me was how much care and support I got from the staff. When there was a problem getting into my room, one of them ran down the hall to check another room and got me a new key within a couple of minutes. I stayed near the MKE airport because I had a 5am flight. The first shuttle leaves at 4am, and that timing worked out fine. I was also surprised by how quickly the shuttle came to pick me up. Departures run on a set schedule, but pickups are on demand. The driver must have left within minutes of my call. The next day at the airport, I realized I’d left something sentimental in my room. I called the hotel, and the manager went to look for it, dug around under the bed until he found it, then called me back. That was amazing. Most hotels say they can’t find lost items because managing lost-and-found is too much trouble. All the way around, this was an amazing customer service experience. I hope they keep up the great work!

The location close to the airport is the only reason I’d consider staying here. My room was disgusting: the floors weren’t clean and the trash hadn’t been emptied. The TV wouldn’t connect to apps, the hallways were really noisy, and the staff were rude. I asked if delivery could come to my room, and they said that was okay. But once it arrived, they told the delivery person to wait in the lobby, so I had to go out and get it. My card deactivated during the stay, which meant going down to the lobby to reactivate it. The side door says it locks at 10pm, but it was already locked at 9pm, so I had to walk all the way around the building. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m not coming back.
