Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

Our business trip went by fast, and I hope next time we get to see more of the area. The place was quaint, and I could relax despite our hectic schedule. The staff were warm and very accommodating. We may book again when we're back nearby.

We had a great view of downtown from a very clean room, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Even with a huge girls high school volleyball group staying there, it was still quiet. The hotel is close to everything we wanted to see and do. We'll definitely come back.

The location is a big plus, with the convention center and local restaurants within walking distance. There are also various restaurants and large multipurpose rooms at the hotel, plus a Starbucks in the lobby. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked well. That said, the furniture, carpet, and fixtures all showed plenty of wear. They're usable, but the hotel feels dated and needs an update. The bathroom is small, as is the mini-fridge.

We only chose this hotel because our event was across the street, and next time we'll stay somewhere else. On the 16th floor, the bathroom had black mold and the air vents were visibly dusty. The sheets were clean but torn. I had asked for no room service through online check-in, yet the room had been serviced when we returned. They charged $6 for each water that had been described as complimentary. The internet was awful.
