We got to The Trade around 11 PM after a concert and were seated at its Italian restaurant almost right away. We didn't recognize some of the menu items or know how to say them, but our young waitress was friendly and happy to help. The food felt like authentic Italian cooking and was possibly one of the best meals I've had. The hotel room was also terrific, with a real tile shower and craftsmanship I could appreciate as a contractor. The Trade is the nicest hotel we've stayed at in a long time. If we're in Milwaukee overnight near Fiserv Forum again, Lord willing, we'll stay and eat there.

We spent eight nights here across two visits in two weeks. Fiserv Arena is very convenient, but the service was poor, and I'd tell other Marriott customers to avoid this hotel. On our first visit, we arrived during a Bucks game and had no choice but to use valet. It took more than an hour to get our car at checkout. The front desk manager said the valet company wasn't their responsibility. We were also overcharged; the manager said he'd ask the valet company to follow up, but nobody ever did. We tried to cancel our prepaid second stay after that, but Marriott wouldn't let us. On that visit we avoided valet, but housekeeping failed to clean our room for two days in a row. We spoke to the housekeeper at 9:30 AM on the second day, and she said they'd get to it, but it still wasn't cleaned. There are plenty of better options in the city.

A nice, clean, practical hotel with good service and four drinks included. It’s connected to the basketball stadium and close to everything. Weekend parking was strange: if you park yourself, you have to leave the lot by 8 AM. Valet costs quite a bit, but at least then you can sleep in.

The valet can take a while after a big event at Fiserv Forum. We waited about 35 minutes and were 25th in the queue this morning, though the text link to track the car was useful. If you're in a rush or catching a flight, put in the request early. If not, you can grab breakfast or a mimosa at the bar while you wait. Aside from that wait, our stay at the Trade was exceptional, and we can't wait to come back. The hotel is right across from Fiserv, and it’s beautiful inside. The gorgeous lobby had a stunning 20-foot Christmas tree, plus a fireplace and a fantastic bar. Food, drinks, and service were wonderful. Our room was spacious, modern, clean, and nicely equipped, with a very comfortable bed.

We had dinner at Il Cervo before walking across the street to Fiserv for the TSO concert. We used the garage catwalk, which made getting there so easy, and valet had our car back in minimal time. Woody was a fun, excellent waiter who knew the menu inside out. At the front desk, Theresa Robinson was incredibly helpful and a joy to talk with. Thanks to The Trade for making our Saturday overnight and 20th anniversary so memorable. ❤️
