Rose City Inn and Suites

Had a wonderful two-day stay and couldn't be happier with the property or the fantastic, friendly staff. I'll absolutely be back. :)

The walls are pretty thin, and smoke from the room next door, which was a smoking room, drifted into mine. Still, the rooms have everything you need. I arrived at 1 am and could check in, so credit to the guy at the counter for that.

A very good room for an affordable rate. Motel prices are so high these days, and many offer just the basics, with no fridge or microwave. This room had both, along with a small living and dining area. I'd definitely return.

I booked a large suite with two beds about a month before my trip, but the first room was disgusting. When I pulled back both bed covers, there was human hair all over the sheets, as if someone had just straightened the beds without changing them. I found crumbs beside the beds on the floor, and spots on the mirror that came right off when I flicked water on it and wiped with a tissue. I was very unhappy and asked the front desk for a properly cleaned room. He gave me another room at no charge, and that was the only pleasant part of the experience. The next day, we ran out of coffee. A sign said the desk would be back in 15 minutes, but an hour later it was still there. I called the hotel operator, who lives upstairs above the desk, and he came down with more coffee. At checkout, I had to leave at 6 am, but the lobby door was locked and no one was there to take my card. In my opinion, a hotel desk should be staffed around the clock, even if the owner lives above it or can't afford to keep someone there. The bathrooms also smelled like dirty socks. I didn't feel comfortable showering there, which is unusual for me at a hotel.
