Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown

The suite made the visit memorable, and I’d absolutely stay here again. I booked a top floor king corner suite, which had loads of space to relax, a comfortable layout, and a great view. Everything was clean, thoughtfully designed, and clearly well cared for. The lobby and shared spaces were modern and tidy, the evening reception was a nice touch, and breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. The location also works well for getting around downtown. Most staff were excellent. The woman at the front desk was welcoming, friendly, and helpful each time I saw her. A couple of the men at the desk came across rushed and not very attentive, and could use retraining in basic customer service. That fell short of the high standard elsewhere, though it didn’t overshadow the stay. Fantastic hotel, five stars.

The old building has been converted into a hotel with good taste, and this Embassy Suites felt quite different from what we’re used to. Our room was tidy and comfortable, with an excellent bed and a very large bathroom. Staff were friendly, and check in was fairly quick. Breakfast was included and better than the usual hotel fare. Happy hour was a nice perk, with snacks as well as two complimentary drinks.

The pool and fitness room were highlights for me as a fitness nerd. There were plenty of free weights and other equipment, plus ellipticals and bikes. The pool is small, but one end is five feet deep, which I’ve never seen in a hotel. It was great for treading exercises. I stayed four nights in September 2025. The room was terrific, nicely appointed, and had an outstanding shower. I went to the breakfast buffet twice. I’m not a big eater, but appreciated the choices and omelet station, and everything was clean and well looked after. I also enjoyed the daily complimentary cocktail reception at 5 pm, with cheese and crackers, popcorn, and trail mix. Highly recommend this place!

The suite with two queen beds was spacious and comfortable, with a city view, and the hotel was very close to the concert we were attending. We parked in a public garage nearby to save $30 compared with valet. Bars, restaurants, and the city area were all walkable. It looked like a lot of people were there for a conference, but the place wasn’t too crowded. At check in, staff were helpful and warm, answering our questions and sharing information about the area. The front desk also gave us complimentary bar drink tickets. We stopped in on our way to the concert, where there was an assortment of snacks and friendly service. We didn’t get to try breakfast or the other services, but we’d stay again if we’re in the area.
