Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown

The staff were very kind, and that’s the only reason I’m giving even one star. I paid to stay the week while working, and I’m nearly delirious from not sleeping. The beds are miserably hard, and the hotel has brought me headaches and back pain. It’s a joke, with no comfort at all. Parking was another problem. There isn’t enough for guests, so I had to park down the block and get an in/out ticket from the front desk to avoid paying $40/day. The first room had a shower that leaked all night, a toilet that clogged every time it was flushed, and a broken thermostat. After two nights I begged to change rooms and told the staff about the problems. They moved me to a room down the hall where at least the toilet flushes, but the bed was still painfully hard. This is the last time I’ll stay at a Radisson Red, or any Radisson.

We were there for one night for the Paul McCartney concert, and the location was the main draw. It’s stellar for stadium shows and sports events. Our room was clean, quiet, and very nice. Parking worked out well because I looked online beforehand and managed to get one of the few underground spaces. It did cost more.

Grace from sales was such a pleasure to work with. We held a private party at Oui inside of Red, and the team paid close attention to everything. The menu had good options for what we needed, and they offered several ways to manage the bar tab. I can't speak to the rooms, but the event went wonderfully.
