The location was great, and the staff seemed really nice and friendly. But the room itself was dirty. The sheets had ink marks, and when I checked out today I found a hair tie in the bed, so they apparently hadn't been changed before I arrived. Gross. The room smelled musty when we walked in, the bathroom walls were really dirty, and the light switch was behind the fridge, which was kind of weird. The hotel was just okay.

The little kitchenette in the room was handy, and it was clear the rooms used to be dorm rooms, which was fine. But the place smelled like a hockey gym bag as soon as we walked in, the TV remote didn't work, and the air conditioners barely worked. When we arrived, nobody was at the front desk. A sign asked us to call, but no one answered, so we waited around ten minutes for someone to show up. Then, about twenty minutes after we had settled in, the front desk guy came to our room because he'd forgotten to get a card for incidentals. That felt weird and unprofessional. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

We had a good stay for the price. The rooms were roomy, with a big bathroom that was clean, and the kitchenette had a small stove and a large fridge. The toilet didn't flush very well, though, and we had to wait about five minutes before flushing again. It's also a great spot for a University event, with Target, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance.

The room was dark, dingy, and smelled bad. The toilet seat and shower bar were broken, the towels felt like sandpaper, and the furniture was poor quality. It was a run-down place, not even up to motel standards, even for an inexpensive hotel. At check-in, both women at the counter were on their phones. I waited while one finished a personal call, then she held out her hand for my credit card and ID without saying anything. During check-in she also paused to answer a couple of texts. The next morning, someone knocked while I was getting ready, and the maid apparently didn't understand the "do not disturb" sign on my door. Honestly, the worst hotel stay I've ever had. Terrible.

The one person who made us feel welcome was the young man who checked us in. He was friendly and helpful, but hospitality from everyone else was badly lacking, and nobody apologized for the hassle. We stayed two nights near the beginning of March for a concert, after a six-hour drive, and were told our room was the last one. The key wouldn't open it. My boyfriend went to the desk about three times before the young man came up and tried his master key, which failed too. It was 4 am, so he called the manager, who pretty much seemed to say, 'oh well.' He apologized and checked what else was available, then found us a vacant double room across the hall. That was fine for the night. The next day a different guy from the desk knocked and said we had to move back to our original room because the one we were in was booked by someone else. We did, but the lack of apology bothered me. Parking was a bit annoying, though we worked it out, and I can't blame the staff for that. Otherwise, it was alright, but I probably wouldn't stay again. Professionalism matters a lot to me. I posted a review after our stay about two weeks ago, but as far as I can tell it never went up.
