The Pointe Hotel and Suites

I chose this hotel because of its online ratings, but the stay was unsafe and frustrating. The hill into the lot was dangerously icy, there was no salt, and I fell flat on my back leaving through door 2. I’m disabled with several spine and neck injuries and bad knees. I left the one handicap space open for others because I saw older couples struggling to get from their cars to the entrance. There was only one accessible space, several building side spots were reserved for snowmobiles, and the lot and sidewalk had deep ice and little plowing. Do you cater to snowmobiles rather than the general public? The shower was cold, the in room whirlpool wouldn’t heat up, and the bathroom thermostat was locked, so I couldn’t warm the room. In the pool room, the hot tub was foamy with dirt floating in the foam, and people were eating full meals there. WiFi was awful, constantly reconnecting just to watch a movie, and there were no movies on the room TVs. Trying to extend was another mess. In the morning, the desk offered a much higher rate and told me to use a booking site, but those sites showed no openings. The desk then said they weren’t full and to try online again. I tried with their help and it still failed, so I paid the higher desk rate before the 11am checkout. By 4pm, multiple rooms were back online at the discounted rate. Unsatisfied customer!
