Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center & Water Park

The staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I raised concerns, they answered with attitude instead of taking responsibility. The pool area was disgusting and should be shut down. The hot tub was filthy, its paint was peeling, the water was ice-cold, and it clearly wasn’t maintained. All three slides were closed, and they looked dirty, rusted, and gross. The chlorine level in the main pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub was overwhelming and uncomfortable, which made me worry about guest safety. The hotel feels neglected and run down, is severely outdated, and needs major renovation. I’ll never stay here again, and I’d advise others to avoid it until it’s renovated, cleaned properly, and the staff learn basic customer service.

The helpful staff saved the day when we couldn’t find a ride to the airport. Thanks, Paul, our morning desk attendant. We also had a large gathering with friends and family, and the location was perfect. We got the water park to ourselves and enjoyed the hot tub, though the slides were very fast, so be careful. The place feels like it would have been the best place to stay five years ago, and some basic upkeep has fallen behind.

We chose the hotel because our family in Minot made us think a night of swimming and playing together would be fun. Instead, I felt gross and dirty after just one night. The pool and slides area was filthy. The toddler pool was taped off and not running, but the standing water in it was disgusting, and I saw a few children jump in before their parents could stop them. The hot tub was cloudy, only lukewarm, and had film and debris floating on top. Its paint and surface were chipped in many places, the railings were rusting, and the pipes looked rusty too. The whole space was dirty, with only a few chairs and no tables for belongings or for sitting out of the water. Afterward I felt I needed to scrub my family with antibacterial soap. In the room, there were crumbs and wrappers beside the beds, as if they vacuumed only the usual walkway. It was noisy, too: we could hear conversations in the hall clearly, and every slamming door rattled ours. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front desk staff were cranky, and when we reported that one of the “newly washed” towels had poop on it, they didn’t believe us. The pool was dirty and the bathrooms smelled bad. The hotel just wasn’t great overall, maybe a two-star place.
