Best Western Plus Grant Creek Inn

The “non-smoking” room smelled strongly of marijuana when we arrived, and the chair cushion was on the floor. It felt unclean and poorly maintained. We got in late and were staying briefly, so I didn’t ask to change rooms. I just expected a non-smoking room to smell like one. After checkout, I realized I’d left my makeup bag in the room. I searched my car and luggage several times before remembering the hotel was the last place I’d used it. When I called, they said nothing had been turned in to lost and found, even though they say supervisors inspect every room for forgotten items. The front desk also told me the next guests hadn’t checked out yet when I called, so I’m not sure how a thorough search could already have happened. In their response, they used a last name that wasn’t on the reservation. The name on this review is my maiden name, while I booked under a different last name, so I question whether they were even referring to the right reservation and room. I understand there’s a lost-and-found process, but my experience didn’t show the level of care they describe. Extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The breakfast here is beyond amazing, with fresh hot peach cobbler for breakfast! We’ll only stay at BWP-Grant Creek Inn when traveling through Montana. This was our second stay in five weeks. The first was with my husband’s football team, and the staff went out of their way to make the whole group comfortable and worry-free. They treated all the players, coaches, and families with friendly hospitality and a willingness to serve that I haven’t seen in our 26 years of coaching. Our second visit was for my husband’s birthday as we traveled to Northern Idaho for Christmas break, and the enthusiastic service was just as good.

The people were amazing, and the runner who came to try to fix the bed was a super great guy, though I wish I could remember his name. But the room was disappointing. There were six of us, and the pull-out couch was important, but it was broken. The beds weren’t great either, and we kept sinking into the middle. It needs upgrades. I own an air bnb and know how much a good night’s rest matters when traveling. This was also the most expensive room we stayed in on our trip, so I wasn’t impressed. We stay here often on the way to Bozeman, but we’ll find a different hotel next time.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the place is dog-friendly with lots of room for them to run around and explore. Our room was quiet and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice and very hot. I’d definitely recommend it.
