Motel 6 University Missoula

The shower had really good water pressure, and the room was neat and nice. I also appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were. They checked on me throughout my stay. With downtown and the University of Montana so close, it was a very good place to stay.

We were charged twice for the stay, and although I was told one charge had been refunded, it still hasn't appeared in my checking account. We also booked a king bed for my partner and me because we both sprawl when we sleep, but got a queen room instead. Staff blamed construction at the property, which leaves me wondering why king rooms were still available to book. With no one taking responsibility and staff blaming each other, I'd stay somewhere else.

My partner and I had a great stay. We used the stove to make lots of meals, and the room had plenty of space. The manager was so nice and accommodating. Staff were friendly, and it's close to downtown. I'd recommend it.

The front desk staff were nice and helped when my room key stopped working. I don't blame them for the train noise, though the tracks nearby made it hard to sleep. Trains seemed to come around every 45 minutes, and with the way the motel is laid out, the whistle sounded like it was circling the building. I was awake from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. I'm surprised so many reviews don't mention the tracks down the block. Our room was big and clean, but the bathtub wouldn't drain. The heating comes from the AC unit, which is loud. You can't leave the fan running, so it keeps switching on and off as it regulates the heat.
