Travelodge Inn & Suites by Wyndham Missoula University Park

I wasn’t sure about booking here, especially since there were hardly any other rooms available in town, but I’m glad I gave it a try. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and professional, and went out of his way to find me a first-floor room. That was especially convenient since I didn’t know the area. Inside, the room was spacious and remarkably clean, far beyond what I expected. The hotel is within walking distance of several great restaurants and charming shops. From the outside it looks a little old, but the interior is a hidden gem. The rooms rival what you’d get at a high-end chain hotel, and cost me only a fraction of the price. I’d absolutely recommend it and will stay again on my next visit.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the price was fair for what I needed. It’s a basic hotel that’s a bit dated but clean, except for the bathtub. The latch on the night door was broken, though it still worked.

The price looked appealing, but it absolutely wasn’t worth it. The bathroom walls were covered in mold, and nearly everything was dirty apart from the beds. I walked around in white socks and the bottoms turned black from the filthy floors. Cleaning products seemed to be used to cover the mold and mildew smell. There were marks in the glass that looked like a bullet hole or rocks, and the room felt incredibly unsafe. We booked somewhere else for the second night and left for the rest of our trip.

The room was clean, roomy, and had a comfortable bed. The location was great, close to downtown. Our only small issue was that we couldn’t fully turn off the basin tap.
