We waited more than an hour for dinner after ordering, even though the place wasn't busy. The indoor seating was cold, and the service was terrible. They'd run out of listed side dishes, including potatoes, and substituted something we didn't want. Nobody checked whether the food was okay or asked if we wanted dessert. It was overpriced, and after such a bad first visit, I have no reason to go back.

The servers were sweet and attentive, though the place leans pretty heavily into a bar atmosphere. The brisket “cheesesteak” is really a gourmet brisket sandwich, miles better than any fast-food version, and the spicy chicken sandwich is next-level too. If you're hungry nearby, this is the only really good food option compared with the local deli, winery, or greasy spoon. It deserves its own listing. Owners, if you see this, please open for breakfast so locals can eat without leaving the area.

The food alone is worth a visit, especially the brussel sprouts. The newly refurbished place still has that antique class, and the service keeps a small-town feel. It's easy to get to, right on the town's main strip.

The new owners have brought in new food, and the Chicken Alfredo is the best I've ever had. This is my favorite place to eat in amador county. If you haven't been in a while, go check it out. You won't be disappointed.

What a blast, with the nicest people and the nicest town. This place is phenomenal! I only wish we'd known to bring a fan to cool off in the room.
