Comfort Inn & Suites

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Monahans, Texas, on December 25, 2025, and were due to leave December 26. We arrived late, and in our first room, 108, the sheets were filthy with sand, dirt, hair, and stains, as if they hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. The sink had hairs in it, as if someone had just shaved, and the toilet seat had feces all over it. With small children, this room was completely unacceptable. The front desk had no clean spare linens, so we couldn’t even change the bedding ourselves. The staff member said she’d leave a note for management and moved us to room 106. The beds were better there, but the bathroom had mold and rust all over the bathtub. We went back to report that and ask for some compensation. The desk agent said she could only leave a note for management in the morning. The manager wasn’t there the next day, and we were told someone would call. After a week, I called for an update and management told me, “Tough luck.” I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I work in Monahans and book here pretty regularly, but I’m trying to find somewhere else for my guys. The front desk staff are welcoming and kind, but nothing ever gets fixed. Breakfast looks like it’s been reused for a week, and housekeeping isn’t very good either.

The place is clean, well maintained, and very good overall. WiFi was the only problem for me: it’s 10 Mbps, and you have to sign up to use it. I didn’t want to sign up, so I went without WiFi. My hotspot gets 372 Mbps, so the hotel connection feels slow.

The room stank like dog poop, and the hotel was dirty. We stayed Tuesday night, and when we were getting ready to leave Wednesday morning, I checked under the bed to make sure we hadn’t left anything behind. I found several cans of alcohol.
