Breakfast was better than what I’ve had at most motels, and the staff kept the food and drinks topped up as needed. They were attentive, which we appreciated. We’d seen reviews about room cleaning, but everything in our room was clean and comfortable. The location also worked perfectly for our trip along the route between Philadelphia and New York City.

The room and bathroom were both spacious, but the room could have been cleaner. We were given just one key card, which was a first for us, and the jetted tub in the main room felt really strange. We skipped breakfast, though the choices seemed limited and the food wasn’t being replenished. Service was otherwise fine, except when I asked for a bag for our used clothes and got a little plastic grocery bag. It was manageable for one night, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

The price may make this place worth considering if you’re on a budget, but getting around without a car is difficult. New Brunswick, the nearest train station, is 10 miles away, and round-trip Uber rides are expensive. A rental or your own car would make the location less of a problem. Breakfast was sparse: cheap cereal, a banana, coffee, cream cheese, white bread, and bagels. There was barely an inch of orange juice left at the bottom of the dispenser. They also don’t clear the snow after snow or freezing rain.

The A/C worked well, and breakfast had bagels with cream cheese, bananas, coffee, and cereal. For the price, it might be good enough if cleanliness and smells aren’t a concern, but be aware of the state of the rooms. Ours and the bathroom were dirty, and there was a bad damp smell that might have been period blood or fish, I really couldn’t tell. The curtains smelled too. There were hairs across all the beds, both in the first room we were given and the second one we stayed in, as well as in the bathroom. The floor looked like it had only been quickly wiped. I used Lysol to disinfect a bit.

We made it work for an overnight stay. The place was clean and basic, but getting in was tricky. If you miss the entrance, it adds 10 minutes before you can try again. The enclosed fortress-like front desk looked intimidating and unwelcoming. Staff didn’t smile or say hello, and one man barely spoke.
