Harborside Motel

It’s an affordable hotel with nice people, but there was no real control over noise. One night a guy shouted up to the second floor and woke me at 6 AM. The following night, kids upstairs kept me awake from 2:30 to 4:30 with loud voices and what sounded like furniture being rearranged. It was so disruptive that it ruined our night. I would’ve gone to the office or called the police, but my wife advised me not to. Because of this, I won’t stay again. I spoke to Ronald at checkout. He was very nice, but nothing was offered to make up for the inconvenience.

My family and I wanted to visit Montauk, but prices for two nights were so high. On the day we were heading there, I found Harborside and checked availability. They had the last room, so I booked it. Everyone there was so nice, and I’m really glad I stayed. I’ll be back!

The Harborside Motel has become our yearly Montauk tradition over the past 22 years. The rooms are spotless, the prices remain reasonable, and the welcome is the warmest around. It’s set back from the busy part of town, but restaurants and nightlife are still close when we want them. We can walk to the Bay or Gosman's, bike around, or drive to Ditch Plains, with a longer walk there as another option. We can’t picture staying anywhere else.

The balcony looked out over the pool, which was a lovely spot to sit. It’s a cozy, quaint place in a great location near the fishing charters. Our room was roomy and had a small refrigerator. A little dated, but clean.
