We’ve been visiting Montauk since I was a kid, and this is the nicest hotel in town. The location is right in the heart of Montauk, close to everything we love about the area. We spent Easter weekend here with our family and had an exceptional stay. The rooms were spotless and luxurious, with all the amenities we could want, and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We can’t wait to return to Offshore.

Winter is my favorite time to visit Montauk, when the town quiets down and it’s easy to slow down and recharge. I stayed at the newly opened Offshore Montauk this week, and their seasonal rates were excellent. Booking was simple, and the communication before arrival was clear, friendly, and genuinely attentive. The rooms are modern but still feel warm, with thoughtful design, spotless spaces, and lots of character. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere felt personal and relaxed from the start. I especially enjoyed the wellness area, with its gym, sauna, and other ways to unwind after time by the ocean. The hotel is right by the water, and waking up to the sunrise through the windows was restorative. One of my best hotel stays, and I’d absolutely come back for another calm, cozy winter getaway.

The room was clean, modern, and freshly updated, with nice finishes and some quality products. But I can’t see how a rate of over $1,000 a night in peak summer is justified. For that price, I expect amenities, atmosphere, and thoughtful extras. It felt like I was paying for a clean room and little else. The property also isn’t on the beach or directly on the water, which makes the cost harder to understand. The pool faces the highway and didn’t feel relaxing or upscale. There were almost no worthwhile amenities or included experiences. Other hotels at this price offer things like planned activities, live music, inviting shared spaces, or even complimentary coffee or sparkling water in the lobby. This one feels very bare-bones. Noise was another problem. The walls and ceilings seem extremely thin, and every flush from the guest above me was loud enough to wake me several times during the night. I also noticed the mattress didn’t have a proper encasement, which I expect as a basic hygiene measure in hotels. It left me concerned about long-term cleanliness and maintenance. The room itself is nice, but the value isn’t there. I’d consider coming back only around $300-$400 a night. At peak season rates, it’s hard to justify.

We had a great girls’ weekend at off shore. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were very clean. Our balcony faced the water, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed in a ground-floor dune view king in early October while in town for a wedding. The location worked perfectly, close to the beach and an easy walk to downtown. The rooms are modern and beautiful, with lovely little touches like pillow mist and the most luxurious towels I’ve felt. The light switches were oddly laid out and tricky to use. The staff were very responsive and helpful, and I’d love to return to Montauk in summer for a proper beach trip. I’d stay here again.
