Solé Beach

Cute spot and an easy walk to the beach, so the location is definitely a plus. But I could hear the people next door through the thin walls, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all while I was there. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t recommend it unless location is all you’re after and noise or no internet won’t bother you.

The new management made a real difference for us. Everything seemed updated and looked after, and the staff paid attention to the details and were warm and helpful from arrival through checkout. Even though the hotel is right off the main street, it was quiet and relaxing. Our room had lots of space and a comfortable layout, and the bed gave me some of my best sleep on a trip. The beach is only steps away, so it was easy to go for a swim or watch the sunset. We could hear the ocean from the room and feel the sea breeze during the day. Sole East Beach Hotel exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to come back, and would recommend it for a laid-back beach stay with boutique hotel comforts.

The room was in the Annex, a basic motel a distance from the main hotel, with no restaurant or pool. From inside, I could hear people above making every little movement. The air conditioner wasn’t adjustable. On the plus side, the price was good, the beach was about a five-minute walk, and they provided umbrellas and chairs for the beach. Downtown was also an easy five-minute walk.

Antonio was the main staff member over the weekend, and he was fantastic and very kind. It seemed, though, that hotel management and software weren’t giving him much support. The rooms were clean, fairly spacious, and had the usual amenities. The beach and town were both right nearby. I was there for a wedding weekend. The hotel seemed very understaffed, which slowed check-in and caused billing confusion at checkout. The front desk hours weren’t clear, and using physical keys instead of electronic cards added more delay.
