The highlight was all the kitten shenanigans. Leighann and Yulli, two wonderful people, rescued an abandoned kitten on the property and made our stay extra special. The manager was great too. I wish I'd gotten her name. We needed our vows printed at the last minute before the wedding, and she went above and beyond to help. We were in Bakersfield for a wedding and had a fun stay. The room was clean and comfy, and the lobby coffee was delicious, but the kitten was the real highlight. I'll definitely stay here on my next Bakersfield adventure.

It was my first time back, and the hotel has been upgraded. Last time they'd removed the coffee maker and fridge, and I can't remember whether there was a microwave too. They're back now, which I'm glad about. We had a great stay and look forward to coming again.

It was peaceful here and felt safe, and the staff were awesome. The room was clean, with an updated bathroom, fridge, coffee pot, safe, iron and board, full-length mirror, and microwave. The couch, desk, and bed were comfortable too. The pool and workout space were decent and clean. The Jacuzzi was out of service, no comment. There's no continental breakfast, so you'll have to go to The Bistro restaurant across the way.

The room had no heat, and service to fix it was so slow that I ended up canceling the reservation. Then the desk clerk deactivated my key right away and left me locked in the room. It took 15 min for them to make a new key and let me out. She said she'd canceled the charge on my credit card, but she hadn't, so I'm now dealing with a dispute. The hotel also has no elevator to the 2nd floor and no staff to help with luggage. Worst experience ever.

I only had a short stay in Bakersfield, but I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the well-kept grounds and pool. My room was lovely, breakfast at the Bistro was good, and the service and food were both great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I felt very comfortable. Maybe next time I can linger.
