Inn on the Russian River

We’ve been coming here for years, and the Inn on the Russian River is such a relaxing place to stay. The new owners bought the property about a year and a half ago and have made lots of positive changes. The walkway and patio have been redone beautifully, and the balconies are new. Out back there’s a cute sitting area with fresh coffee in the mornings, delicious almond biscotti, and an ice machine. The owners make you feel welcome, and even offered us an umbrella when it was raining. Nice touch! It’s a good spot for a relaxing getaway, close to Bodega Bay, Duncan Mills shopping, Korbel, and several restaurants. Spud Point in Bodega Bay is a must-go.

The staff made sure we were taken care of from check-in through the room tour, and even came by later to check that we had everything we needed for the evening. They gave superb service, and we enjoyed the inn so much we’ll return. Our friends now know where to stay for a weekend getaway. The rooms are tidy, comfortable, warm, and inviting. Outside, there’s river and beachfront access, plus a patio with grills, tables, chairs, and a fireplace. Wood is provided, so it’s lovely to sit with music, wine, food, and friends. Wonderful property and staff.

We spent about an hour warming up by the huge fireplace on the back patio and sipping adult beverages. They got the firewood burning quickly, then brought over Hershey's, marshmallows, and grams for s'mores. The big picnic area outside is great for games or just lounging, and the river view with the gigantic trees across it is picturesque. The customer service and hosting were great. Our room was clean and equipped with everything, with a comfortable bed and extra blankets in case you want to Netflix and chill on the couch or porch. This place works for a getaway with your spouse or the whole family. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to friends.

We went with two other families, including the little ones, and the inn was a perfect base for our weekend getaway. The standout was the back area by the river. It was beautiful and felt safe for the kids to play and explore while the adults relaxed in the peaceful setting. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The location also made it easy to plan outings, with activities, parks, and attractions nearby. It was a convenient base for exploring the redwoods and local area. We had a memorable stay and hope to return soon. Highly recommend the Inn at the Russian River.
